This was such a fun project for me to work on. Especially since I got to use my Positive Psychology degree in a short film project with the School District of Philadelphia. This was shown at one of their annual district wide principal meetings showcasing the work schools are doing using Carol Dweck’s work in growth mindset.
Got to spend my Sunday off hanging out with Tina at Dear Botanica as she set up a pop up trash flowers installation in front of M Concept Shop in south philly. Even though noo ne grabbed flowers while we were there, we heard shortly after we left they were picked clean. Looking forward to the next one (which is coming soon!) Enjoy!
Alright everyone strap in for a wedding with ALL OF THE FEELS. ALL OF THEM. Remember Brit and Paul’s (+Scrappy’s) engagement shoot a while back? Well they tied the knot in none other than the Dominican Republic. Unfortunately Scrappy could not attend, but i heard he eventually forgave them.
Now besides the fact that I got to capture their wedding in the Dominican Republic (and serve as the designated spanish translator), it was incredible to capture the love of a couple like these two. Really can’t put into words how beautiful it was, so I’ll leave you with the images. Enjoy!

Something a little different for these cold days. Sometimes I Convince my awesome dance friends to go exploring different parts of the city, like Marina here who willingly climbed and jumped on things to let me creatively explore in ways I don’t typically get to do with my shoots. I mean how often do you get a dancer wiling to trudge along and find an abandoned train station you only kinda know where it’s at. So, enjoy some of these stunning images Marina gave me the opportunity to make.

I’ve been getting blessed with all of the family cuteness this year. This is the Lu-Schliep family. I met Dana and Tim through Brit and Paul (remember scrappy?) Dana is Paul’s sister and funny enough I was already familiar with their family because Florescio Films where I work as a filmmaker and studio manager had just shot their beautiful wedding over at the UPenn Museum. So I already knew just how beautiful their family is and I was hype to go with them to the UPenn Museum to shot some family portrait, right before thanksgiving, which we then discovered was mostly closed….but we made it work and got some great shots int he stoner courtyard and did a small adventure/hike to south street bridge (Dana wins points for walking in heels holding baby myles there, and omg she’s absolutely stunning) for sunset.
Enjoy!

It’s that time of year again when I get to take photos of one of my favorite families. I’ve been taking their portraits for 2.5 years (since tristan was in the belly) and even did a documentary on them last year. If you want to see my progression as a shooter just look at their photo walls.
Anyways, Got these guys to come into philly this time and hang out in Fairmount Park and I can’t really prepare you for the cuteness overload that is Tristan and Jael Garcia.
like dude come on

I can’t think of anything good enough to introduce these awesome maternity shots of my mentor/big brother/boss Pat and his gorgeous expecting wife Jace (seriously can’t take a bad pic of her). I mean from finding the gorgeous woods by the house and then trespassing into exploring urban abandoned train tracks and Jace glowing 8 months pregnant, these just came out beyond my expectations. Can’t wait to meet Zion the Lion.

Soooo where to begin with this one.
I met Brittany and Paul and then Brittany’s mom Ginger when I was in the Philippines for Pat and Jace’s (Brit’s bff) wedding. As the two curly haired girls we bonded and I came to know her, Paul and Ginger as among the kindest and most beautiful souls I know.
So when Brit and Paul got engaged I was incredibly honored and excited to take their engagement photos.
These were all in their home and yard and Scrappy, their pup/child, had to be involved.
For the Photog ppl, 5dmk3+85 1.2 and 100macro, 6d + tiltshift 24 (first time using it, was fun) or 50. A little off camera flash here and there and mainly reflector.
